Panthers Place 3rd at VISAA State Duals
The Panther wrestlers had another successful week on the mat, going 8-1 in dual meets.
On Wednesday they wrestled their annual assembly match again rival, Gonzaga. After some tough wrestling, we came out on top 51-21. We followed that up with a 66-15 win over McNamara.
On Friday, we once again traveled to Richmond to wrestle in the VISAA State Duals. We went 3-0 on day 1 with wins over The Potomac School (66-9), Woodberry Forest (56-12), and Norfolk Christian (72-5). We opened up day 2 with a win over Norfolk Academy (57-21) before falling to Benedictine in the semifinals. We rallied off 2 more wins in the consolation bracket, beating Fork Union (64-17) and John Paul the Great (42-33) to finish in 3rd place.
