Dear Panthers,
I would like to kick-off the New Year by telling the whole PVI community how honored I am to be taking over as head football coach and to take this opportunity to outline my vision for the team.
We have a proud tradition of athletics at the school and it is my aim to bring football up to the highest standard for our program.
First, I am dedicated to creating a clear identity for the players. This begins with a sense of pride in our weight lifting, raising the standard of commitment and instilling the faith-based values of our school.
Second, I am working to provide the best possible environment for playing football at Paul VI and this begins with our extraordinarily experienced staff. My coaching staff will hold players accountable for our values and provide the depth of knowledge for them to compete at their full potential.
Finally, this is a character-building program with an emphasis on work ethic and a commitment to team.
At our interest meeting with all of the players I will convey this vision and provide the schedule for weightlifting, 7-on-7 and spring ball. This meeting will be held on Friday, February 3 from 3:00 – 3:15 in Room 129. We will begin team workouts in the spring and I expect all rising juniors and seniors to make a minimum of 20 of 35 scheduled workouts this summer.
I’m all in.
Coach Grandizio
